    Verdict

Pogo finished ahead of SACRED and Jumby when runner-up to Kinross in a Group 2 at York in August but William Haggas’ smart filly left that form well behind when running away with a Listed race at Newbury last month. Hopefully, that overdue win will have given her the confidence to take this contest by the scruff of the neck in the closing stages. Oscula beat Internationalangel at Goodwood in the summer and won later at Deauville while Umm Kulthum still has a bit of scope over this trip. Purplepay has been quite highly tried and the Chantilly winner is not out of this, though looks the stable second string.
