Verdict
A surprise that Sir Michael Stoute's and other big-name stables are not represented here but it's still a very good renewal, and one in which Royal Ascot winner Attraction can get the better of Menhoubah and Tolzey. Mark Johnston's filly is unbeaten in four starts now, the most recent coming in Royal Ascot's Queen Mary Stakes, for which she carries a three-pound penalty for her Ascot success. Before that, Attraction had beaten Tolzey, who is also three pounds better off now, by two-and-a-half lengths in a Listed race at Beverley. Both fillies are now trying six furlongs for the first time so it could well be close between them. Tolzey has yet to win a race but ran well behind her stablemate Silca's Gift when second in the Albany Stakes, also at the Royal Meeting, on her last run. Birthday Suit has one nothing wrong so far and is unbeaten in two starts. This represents her toughest test to date but it would be no surprise to see her go well. David Loder's Pearl Grey beat Voile by a length and three quarters over course and distance on her latest start, displaying a willing attitude in the process. However, others are preferred. Menhoubah was fourth that day after meeting trouble in running, so the form could well be reversed this time. Glebe Garden steps up from a Windsor win last time, but this is tougher. Rosehearty looks to be the lesser of the two Loder entries on jockey bookings.
