Verdict
This promises to be an outstanding contest, with Choisir and Airwave doing battle once again; we just fancy Henry Candy's filly to reverse their Golden Jubilee form; Oasis Dream and Acclamation look to be the best of the rest. Choisir took the British sprinting division by storm in the space of a week at Royal Ascot, following his Kings Stand victory with a course record success in the Golden Jubilee Stakes over this trip. On the first occasion he was a length ahead of Acclamation, with Oasis Dream a length and a half away in third place. Acclamation was stopped in his run at a crucial point and flew home late in the day. He would have gone closer with a clear run, is still improving and is likely to play a big role once again here. Oasis Dream was having his first run of the season, is likely to prove better over this extra furlong and is certainly capable of better. However, the Australian colt put up an even better performance when landing the Group 1 Golden Jubilee Stakes by half a length from Airwave in what was arguably the race of the meeting. Henry Candy's filly, favourite that day, appeared not quite to let herself down on the extremely fast ground and it is possible she didn't quite run up to the form she showed when handing Russian Rhythm a beating in last year's Cheveley Park Stakes. There may be more to come from this exceptional filly, and with Kieren Fallon in the plate, we take her to reverse form with Choisir
