Verdict
Several of these ran in the International Stakes at Ascot two weeks ago. The admirably-consistent Ripp Orf fared best in third but Spanish City was also staying-on in sixth and Gallipoli probably didn’t have the best of draws. Mountain Rescue goes well here but was behind Spanish City in the Bunbury Cup over course and distance last month. LAKE VOLTA (NAP) refused to buckle when a close third at Newbury last month. The first and fourth have both won since so the form has a solid look about it and he could edge Mark Johnston that little bit closer to that all-time winners’ record. Fennaan hasn’t raced since May while this is a much better race than the one Sea Fox won at Lingfield.
