Verdict

SUTTER COUNTY stormed to a nine-length victory on his racecourse debut at Wolverhampton last month. This will be tougher under a penalty but Mark Johnston's colt was ahead of Stringybank Creek, who subsequently beat today's rivals Tomily and Makman at Kempton, so looks likely to start a short-price. The latter pair are closely matched having filled the places at Kempton but Heavenly Cry was well beaten in soft ground at Doncaster. Of the newcomers, Copper Knight is speedily-bred along with Dream Of Dreams while Silvestre De Sousa gets the leg-up on Vinnievanbaileys.
