    In depth

    Verdict

Charlie Appleby has sent out two of the last four winners of this and Magical Land returns to maiden company having finished third of only six runners over a mile here. He’s preferred to stablemate Kemari while Night Of Dreams finished fourth at Lingfield on his reappearance and shares ownership with MOVIN TIME. The latter found a subsequent handicap winner too good at Newcastle back in November but has likely improved over the winter judged on entries at Royal Ascot and the Irish Derby and Roger Varian’s colt gets the nod. Punta Arenas placed at Southwell recently while Constanta and Mobarhin are newcomers to note.
