Verdict

Progressive last year, Going Gone won over a shorter trip at Epsom on his seasonal debut but SUMMER’S KNIGHT also looks capable of making a winning return. The latter won five times last year culminating in a victory over today’s trip at Haydock and can defy a hike in the weights with an entry in the Ascot Gold Cup suggesting further progress is expected this year. Soapy Stevens ran well for third over track and trip recently and a hood is applied while Nate The Great, Gumball and Moliwood look better over further nowadays.
