Verdict

All of these step up in trip today. Kew Gardens had only won a maiden race before landing last year’s renewal for Aidan O’Brien and the same goes for SYDNEY OPERA HOUSE. The latter finished runner-up to stablemate Mohawk in the Group 2 Royal Lodge over a mile here a fortnight ago and the half-brother to Melbourne Cup winner Rekindling should get every yard of this extra distance. He preferred to stable companion and Naas maiden winner Norway but much better is expected from Waldstern now tackling middle-distances despite finding one too good under a penalty at Haydock. Nate The Great has placed in Listed company and won a novice event over 1m1f at Musselburgh recently but the remainder look to have a tough task in this company.
