Verdict

Punters will need nerves of steel to get through today’s card, which features several impossible-looking handicaps starting with this one. Mountain Angel and Aasheq both went close last time but have gone up in the weights again since. Pacify has been staying on over 1m4f so may not be suited by this drop in distance though has a very good record on this track. ERIK THE RED has only had three runs this season and this is his time of year. He has something to find with Aasheq on Ayr running but ground conditions will be a lot more suitable today and Kevin Ryan’s charge should be thereabouts. Finniston Farm was ahead of Aquarium and Banditry at Doncaster last month and then won at Haydock while Highbrow travelled strongly behind a subsequent winner over 1m4f last time and might enjoy the drop in trip. Majboor has won four of five starts this year but this would be his toughest task to date.
