    Verdict

Sir Oliver has proven best on the all-weather so far though can race off a lower mark on this surface and placed at Redcar last month when ahead of Athollblair Boy. The latter has subsequently won over 7f at Newcastle while Lordsbridge Boy was beaten only a nose at Salisbury and a 10lb claimer takes over the reins today. An apprentice’s allowance also helps the cause of BEZZAS LAD, who ended last year winning at Nottingham but went close at Chelmsford on his recent debut for Mick Appleby’s yard and is taken to go one better back over today’s trip. Excellent George is regularly placed but hasn’t won since 2018.
