PARFAIT won a handicap over course and distance by seven lengths before finishing a respectable fourth in the Jersey Stakes at Ascot. He takes on older horses today but John Gosden’s Godolphin gelding hasn’t finished improving yet. Makzeem is another on the up judged on a recent course and distance success with Shady Mccoy back in fourth while Fawaareq should be capable of better this year having placed on his reappearance at Haydock in April. Gunmetal has been competing over 6f so far this season but has won over track and trip before while Swift Approval won this last year when beating Suzi's Connoisseur but arrives in woeful form this time around. Brigliadoro and Mount Tahan were both narrowly beaten on their respective latest starts and we may not have seen the best of Lefortovo yet.
