        Verdict

        A fairly open handicap and we will take a chance on Corridor Creeper to get the better of Lydgate and If Paradise. One of a pair in the field from sprint specialist Milton Bradley's yard, Corridor Creeper has not won for some time, but he still things to recommend him. Not least of those was his decent effort as runner-up to Jayanjay over this trip at Epsom earlier in the month. He did everything but win that day, but he is so tough and genuine and really does deserve to win a race like this, and with plenty of other exposed sorts in the line-up he can come good. Lydgate carries top weight and has been keeping good company. He won over this trip in the States back in April and ran well before running out of steam over six furlongs at Goodwood last time. The drop in trip will help him again and he won't be far away. The same goes for If Paradise, who handles both fast ground and cut. His run at Beverley last time gives him a squeak here following a drop in the weights, so don't rule him out. However, Corridor Creeper has been admirable in defeat and he can have his day now.
