In depth

Verdict

A Godolphin runner has won this four times in the last eight years so VALIANT PRINCE seems a good starting point, though the market should be informative. Brother to an all-weather winner, the 200,000gns Dubawi colt is also a half-brother to a Group 3 winner and, though he’ll stay further, should know what’s required. Ironside was a 500,000gns yearling so will be expected to win races and the Derby entry Kingsofthemidlands cost €600,000 and has a nice pedigree being a full brother to a winning miler. The Hannon pair, Caramelised and Sir Rumi, also catch the eye on breeding with Southern Voyage and Peter The Great expected to prove best of the rest.
