    Verdict

Transcend may be able to land this tight handicap but few in this field can be ruled out with complete confidence. The selection ran on well to win over this trip at Thirsk in April and that form was given a boost when the second went on to win the Thirsk Hunt Cup on his next start. He is 8lbs higher as a result and was beaten on his subsequent and latest outing but the return to racing on turf can see him return to winning ways. The Kiddykid is on a fair mark these days but is better known as a sprinter and still has something to prove at this trip on grass although a slowly run race could play into his hands. King's Caprice is another not too badly treated but has tended to need a run in the past and a bigger danger could be Traphalgar Square who should appreciate this small field contest. Compton's Eleven is consistent and King's Bastion and Froisee come here in form but we'll take Transcend to take the honours.
