Verdict

Miner's Lamp was a close second in a better race here on his reappearance, despite missing the break. It would be no surprise to see him go one better, though he has another 3lb to carry. TALMADA won her maiden at Haydock over this trip with the minimum of fuss and her third at Newbury is working out really well with the winner going close at Chester last week and the second and fourth both winning since. She can get the better of Musselburgh scorer Alex My Boy and the one-paced Cape Caster. The longer trip might suit Rudi Five One but he and The Alamo are already looking a little exposed.
