Verdict

Matthew Cosham got a tune out of AVISO when the gelding only went down by a nose at Bath last month. Second over a longer trip at Nottingham subsequently, David Evans' seven-year-old is at least in decent form and can gain a deserved victory here. Lucy Barry has been among the winners lately so it would be no surprise to see the first-time blinkered Big Sur in the firing-line, even though his best form is over 1m2f. Rough Rock appeared to stay this trip at Yarmouth last time while Colinca's Lad is a C&D winner off a higher mark and would be thereabouts if building on his comeback third.
