Verdict
Agilete's profile on the turf reads for grim reading and so he is taken on here with the well-bred RECESSION PROOF who has the services of Jamie Spencer this evening. Simon Callaghan's son of Rock Of Gibraltar was well-held recently at Windsor over a mile but as a result he has edged down the weights and is now just 4lb higher than his Wolverhampton win in Octobe. Jamie Spencer rode him to a close third at Nottingham last year and with a 22% strike-rate for the yard in recent seasons, the combo look worth siding with there. Night Lily was a fair second to Rio Cobolo at Chepstow last time but is edged back up the weights as a result, Streets Apart needs to improve for the drop in trip, whilst Princelywallywogan continues to give his running but he should be outclassed in this better race. Any market move for Lucy Wadham's Martin's Friend would be interesting with the horse blinkered for the first time, whilst King Of Connacht, Everaard and Iceman George will all relish the ground if it stays on the quick side of good. Carbon Print, Sitwell and M'Lady Rousseur have all shown enough to warrant inspection on their handicap debuts, however along with the maiden Venture Capitalist, they are taken on with Recession Proof.
