      Verdict

      Matewan returned to winning ways at Newcastle in January and is only 1lb higher back on Turf while winning hurdlers Valentino Dancer and Vision Clear return to the Flat with the former preferred off his current mark. Fantastic Blue landed a double last autumn and should be winning again this year but FOX VARDY finished well ahead of Stamford Raffles when runner-up over course and distance in August and having been gelded subsequently, Martyn Meade’s charge gets another chance on his reappearance.
