Verdict

DHERGHAAM gets the vote in a competitive opener over Suited And Booted, Kerchak and Dever Dream. The selection showed enough at York last month on his debut to make him the one to beat here. That race has worked out well and he won't have to find much improvement to get his head in front. Suited And Booted was a good second behind Treble Jig at Newmarket last month and he has now gone close on both of his starts in maiden company. However, the drop in trip is not sure to suit today and on that basis we will take him on. Kerchak hails from the yard that won this race last year but he is another that is not bred to be suited by this drop back to 6f. Dever Dream is a well-bred filly from a yard in cracking form and she is certainly worth a market check on her racecourse debut. There should be more to come from Dherghaam and he gets the vote.
