BELLOMI stands out on the figures in a good claimer and whilst it is bemusing to find him in a race of this nature, he still gets the vote over Spin Again. Officially rated 92, the selection has been off the track since finishing towards the rear in the Britannia at Ascot. That suggests that he has had his training problems but if all is well his class should see him through with several pounds to spare at these weights. Calypso Charms is one of many dropping in class but ran no sort of race last time, in contrast to Spin Again who won at Lingfield on quicker ground. Rankayo Hitam's best runs have come on the all-weather and he doesn't look one to trust now back on turf, whilst Averoo and Royal Applord both have plenty to find on official ratings. This should be simple - if Bellomi runs anywhere near his best he wins easily.
