PUFF is well clear on official ratings and, as she scored on her juvenile debut and on her reappearance last season, a long break is no problem and her victory in the Fred Darling is comfortably the best form on offer. Wake Up Call is another who goes well fresh as she demonstrated last year when completing a hat-trick on her return from a winter break. Aneedah's lone victory came over a mile and she was disappointing at Haydock last time and though Glas Burn and Fleeting Echo are not out of this they look to have something to find.
Fleeting Echo 14-1 (9-2) Held up towards rear, headway 2f out, not clear run over 1f out, snatched up, not recover, 14th of 18, 11l behind Novellen Lad (8-10) at Newbury 6f hcp 0-100 (2) gf in May.
Puff (IRE) 14-1 (9-2) Raced with one rival far side until joined main group in centre halfway, well on terms, driven to challenge 2f out, stayed on same pace inside final furlong, 5th of 12, 6l behind Rainfall (9-2) at Ascot 7f fll lst stks (1) gs in Sep.
Wake Up Call 14-1 (9-0) Held up, headway over 1f out, ridden to lead inside final furlong, soon headed, ran on, 2nd of 14, 3/4l behind Dever Dream (9-1) at Newmarket 6f fll lst stks (1) gd in Oct.
Aneedah (IRE) 4-1fav (8-7) Chased leaders, edged left and ridden when weakening inside final furlong, 10th of 16, 7l behind Anne Of Kiev (9-6) at Haydock 6f fll lst stks (1) gf in May.
