Verdict
This looks wide-open and hard to call. Data Protection showed further progress to win at Sandown last time but is upped 5lb while Bacacarat has been in the mix at Ascot and Haydock in both starts in handicaps. Bhodi and Mainsail Atlantic are likely improvers now handicapping for the first time and the same comment applies to GATEWAY. The latter won a novices’ event at Ayr in good style recently and Mark Johnston’s charge should have no problem with this extra furlong given his dam was a Listed winner over middle-distances.
