GALE FORCE MAYA has placed in all three outings so far this year including in this grade at Pontefract a week ago with Auchterarder well beaten. Michael Dods’ filly may prove the one to side with having finished runner-up in last year’s renewal to Chil Chil. Andrew Balding trains the latter and runs novice winner Quickstep Lady today but her win at Goodwood came over 7f in soft going while Lady Of Aran looks stuck off her current mark. Betsey Trotter is upped in class off a higher mark after scoring at Thirsk and Flippa The Strippa also faces a tougher task having finished in front of Portugueseprincess when runner-up at Lingfield. Stormy Girl won a Listed race at Pontefract earlier with Caspian Queen behind but the latter re-opposes on much better terms.
