Verdict

Doctored has been in tremendous form of late and it would be no surprise to see him land the four timer, however Fort Churchill is progressing nicely and can land this from Hatch A Plan. Mark Tompkins has his string in fine fettle at present and this son of Barathea put up his best performance to date when finishing a close third behind Duc's Dream at Yarmouth back in June. The stable wasn't really firing at that stage so we can expect a fair amount of improvement and he should go close at a decent price. Hatch A Plan was a comfortable winner of a Windsor handicap before chasing home the well handicapped Gavroche at Chester, another bold showing is expected. Back to Doctored, he completed his hat-trick at Lingfield, but was all out to hold off Golden Drift and he may now at last be in the handicapper's grip. Munaawashat is another worthy of respect, but Fort Churchill could be the more progressive and gets our vote.
