Verdict

Russell Price's Cruise Control has run creditably in recent starts and should be thereabouts again but looks booked for a place at best once more and it is hard to get away from LEARO DOCHAIS, who gets the verdict ahead of Hustle. Gay Kelleway's gelding has been given a chance by the handicapper having been dropped another 2lbs since his most recent start when a close up third behind Space Station at Lingfield earlier this month and he has to be respected. Robert Cowell's Cardinal has been running to a consistent level of form and should be involved at the business end of the race once more but he may be a shade high in the weights, while Russian Rave is hard to recommend having finished last of the 11 runners at Chepstow last time. The vote then goes the way of the Michael Jarvis-trained Learo Dochais, who is better than he showed at Leicester last time and he looks worth another chance having won well at the same venue previously.
