In depth

Verdict

Book of Music created a favourable impression when making a winning debut here over seven furlongs on his only start as a juvenile and, with more to come now that the son of Sadler's Wells steps up to a more suitable trip, he gets the vote over Gin Jockey and Markovitch. The last mentioned has the beating of Degas Art on form over course and distance last month but may not appreciate the underfoot conditions. Red Rocks showed improved form when stepped up to this trip to land his maiden at Windsor last month and has to be considered a bigger threat than John Dunlop's Tell, who should come on for his reappearance run but is unproven on ground as testing as this. Gin Jockey could be of interest over this distance but there should be plenty more to come from Book of Music, who gets the vote.
