      Verdict

Barney Curley has wasted no time returning SIR MOZART to action after a solid runner-up effort at Yarmouth this week, a pleasing return after an absence of over 350 days. He can go one better off the bottom perch if the 'bounce' factor does not kick in. Avon Lady's reappearance last April after seven months off was nowhere near as modest as a seventh of twelve placing might suggest, beaten less than three lengths. She hasn't been seen since but is nicely treated if all is well with her. Saint Pierre hasn't shown much this term but is descending to a more feasible mark, whilst Hacienda and Tariq Too have shown more than enough at times this term to make the shortlist in an open heat.
