Verdict
Wadi Al Hattawi was pulled up when fancied for last week's Ebor but the problem obviously wasn't too serious or he wouldn't be lining up here. Mike Appleby doesn't have a great strike rate here but he'll be hoping the progressive Royal Signaller can buck the trend and complete the hat-trick, though easier going is a concern for him and Our Gabrial. Kinema had Karraar, Spectator and Leaderene behind when second at Nottingham but is still creeping up the weights while Magic Dancer has struggled since finishing second in the Lingfield Derby Trial in May and was behind FARQUHAR (NAP) here last time. It's about time the latter was winning one of these and this intermediate distance may well suit.
