Verdict
Turntable has won the last two renewals and is only 2lb higher than last year with Kaiya Fraser taking off a further 5lb, though he’s shown little in four runs this season. Maysong had Bodorgan behind when scoring at Sandown in June but it would be no surprise if Island Bandit were to prove the pick of the older horses. Real Gain, despite defeat on his handicap debut, is still very unexposed and In These Shoes slips further down the ratings. Soft ground was a legitimate excuse for SUDDEN AMBUSH at Goodwood last time. He has won three times this year on quicker surfaces and was second off this mark on the July course last month. Crack Shot has gone up 5lb for winning at Newbury but is probably still improving so can’t be ignored.
