Verdict
A tight handicap here with very little between many of the leading contenders but the principles look to be Boundless Prospect, African Sahara and Habshan and the vote is given to African Sahara. The selection was a fair fourth behind Prince of Thebes last time out without getting the clearest of runs. He goes off the same mark here and with conditions again in his favour he is taken to score. Boundless Prospect rates the main danger on his latest win over Point of Dispute, but that was over 7 furlongs and with the step up in trip and the rising in the weights against him he looks opposable at the likely odds. Habshan was a fair fifth behind little Englander last time out on ground that was too soft for him. This faster surface is sure to suit and he will not be far away. Of the remainder, Crail is one of the least exposed in the field and still has scope for improvement so he is worth noting in the market. But in a race where stakes should be kept to a minimum we will put forward African Sahara as the one they all have to beat.
