In depth

Verdict

AZADAY can break her maiden tag this evening; Meetings Man joins Red Barcelona and Tuscan Gold on the list of dangers. Chris Wall's filly was well-backed ahead of her recent Yarmouth run but found Seattle Speight too resolute. She had to come from off the pace which may not have been ideal but she looks an improver and is fancied to run well off the same mark of 58 this evening. Red Barcelona was well-held behind Motrice last time but the drop in trip will suit and the form looks solid, Cheerfully is unexposed and this nicely-bred filly may not be badly treated on a mark of 70 for this handicap bow, whilst Tuscan Gold was well-fancied at Kempton last time out but he suffered a nightmare passage and the run is best forgotten. He is the one horse here who could be miles ahead of the handicapper and a bold bid is anticipated despite dropping half a mile in trip. Meetings Man is consistent and the booking of Kieren Fallon catches the eye for a horse who is only 4lb higher than his last win, however the most solid option could be the improving filly Azaday.
