    Verdict

The return to a longer run-in will suit PIRATE'S SONG and James Toller's runner can see off The Human League, Praesepe and Watch Chain in a very winnable finale. The selection missed the kick at Warwick last time and could never get competitive, in the end filling third spot behind Spanish Acclaim. His previous second to Joe Packet has been franked since and with the booking of Richard Hughes catching the eye he is hard to desert. Danzoe is better than his Leicester flop would suggest, Excellent Thought is consistent in the main but finds it hard to win, whilst The Human League's run behind Rasselas has been franked by the winner and he is respected in a first-time visor. Praesepe is an interesting contender; this full sister to the classy Enticing has so far failed to live up to expectations but making her handicap debut off 58 she deserves plenty of respect. Watch Chain has a 6lb penalty for winning just a modest Yarmouth race but he was well-clear at the line and if he gets the gaps again today then he might run a big race. Watch the market with regards to the (so far) disappointing Dovedon Diva however with Mrs Boss opposable on the majority of her form we are happy to plump for Pirate's Song in the finale.
