In depth

Verdict

Chazza won his bumper on heavy going and it was soft going when he finished second at Hereford on his hurdling bow but he did win a point on good ground. Smarter only won on Fibresand when trained by William Haggas but he should be capable of winning over jumps, though fellow newcomer CELESTIAL FORCE had a higher rating on the Flat. A winner over 1m4f and effective over 2m, he’s switched to Paul Nicholls and will be expected to pay his way. Technological won on Polytrack and Tapeta and may have more of a future than the disappointing Redbridge Gold and Punkawallah.
