Verdict
Cleni Wells is only 2lb higher than last year’s victory but 4lb out of the handicap proper and facing stronger opposition this season. Cultivator won at Warwick last month but tends to run his best races fresh and third Fidux has every chance of reversing the form on 2lb better terms. All Set To Go looks to be running into form and is well treated on past efforts so goes on the short-list while Shadow's Boy ran well here on his handicap debut and is open to further improvement. Ocean Jive, rated 90 on the Flat, won on his only previous try over hurdles but that was more than a year ago. LEVEL OF INTENSITY has shown improved form on quicker ground. He wasn’t beaten far in another well-contested affair at Warwick 12 days ago and this slightly longer trip is in his favour. Court Minstrel has plenty of class but isn’t getting any younger.
