Verdict

After a couple of very narrow defeats, nobody could argue that MAHLERS STAR didn’t deserve a first victory over fences. His Kempton conqueror won again next time off a 7lb higher mark so David Bridgwater’s charge is the one to beat. Calin Du Brizais has a penalty for last week’s course and distance win so looks vulnerable and Peterbrown has his first run since August and looks a few pounds too high. Bankhall has changed stables and has to dominate while this looks a big ask for pointers Beuvron and Strollawaynow.
