In depth
Verdict
KILMINGTON ROSE has been beautifully placed by Paul Nicholls to complete a hat-trick in less than a month with front-running tactics working the oracle, one of which came over course and distance. She looks fairly treated moving into handicap company in what will prove a proper test of her ability. Breaking Waves stuck on well to score at Southwell and a 5lb rise seems fine. He should be in the mix. Young Wolf, back over timber for the first time since 2019, looks on a fair mark but Pilbara and Black Mischief appeal more, notably the latter following a pleasing effort after a 741-day absence. Market support for him would strengthen interest after such a reappearance.
