In depth
Verdict
Woolcombe Folly should be a warm order to open his account and may well do so but he's likely to need a stiffer test in the fullness of time and we'll look to an each-way alternative in Enroblim Trop. The selection was beaten a long way on his hurdling debut at Wincanton at the end of last month but the company was decent, the ground bad and he travelled really well for a long way. He failed to win a bumper but showed a decent level of form in defeat and today's conditions could see him post an improved performance. Woolcombe Folly has only been beaten by inches on both hurdles outings by decent prospects on both occasions. He's clearly a talented horse and will be expected to open his account but he looked in need of a longer trip at Taunton on debut whilst his second start came on the stiff Sandown track. Ghallab would be the obvious one to take him on with following a fair hurdling debut on his first run since the summer of 2006. He should build on that but is unlikely to be allowed to go off at an each-way price and is, thus, swerved. One or two of the remainder, Qanta De Thaix in particular, should be watched closely in the market but we're happy to take a chance with Enroblim Trop.
