Verdict
A competitive contest gets Proceedings under way and many would have chances on their best form, but the main protagonists appear to be How Ran On, Kety Star and North Of Carla and we will take a chance on the last named. The gelding from the bang in form Gary Moore yard was a fair fourth behind The Staggery Boy last time out on ground that was soft enough for him, and now he has his favoured fast ground he will be hard to beat despite top weight. How Ran On rates the main danger on his latest win over course and distance but he will find this harder under his penalty. Kety Star is another that could go well he was third behind How Ran On last time out but he is better off at the weights and there should not be much between them today. Of the remainder L'Etang Blue is well handicapped on his best form but he has appeared to have lost his confidence of late.
