Verdict
Doof and Gnillish are the Martin Pipe representatives here so have to be given every respect, but we like the pedigree of another newcomer Greenhill Bramble and this one gets the vote. Trained by Philip Hobbs, the selection is by Supreme Leader and is a full brother to hurdles winner Monte Rose. If he doesn't drift alarmingly in market he could be the one to be on. At the time of writing we have no jockey bookings for the Pipe pair, but in any case the betting should give a clue which is the more fancied. The best of the runners with experience could be Banchory Two, trained by Paul Nicholls, who put up a decent display when finishing third to Briery Fox at Wincanton. Trust Me is from a yard noted for bumper winners and is another to consider, but Greenhill Bramble looks the part on paper and gets the decision.
