In depth

Verdict

Flying Grey is our selection with Brousse En Feux and Histoire de Moeurs the alternatives. Flying Grey has proved a real moneyspinner for owner Paul Morgan in recent weeks and while this is a step up in grade, the horse has displayed a renewed zest for the game, obliging both over hurdles and more recently on the level. This is a good chance of nicking more prize money. Brousse En Feux won back to back races last December and incurred the wrath of the handicapper accordingly. He copes with soft ground but the market is watched. Histoire De Moeurs is on the hat-trick. Again, the ground is a question mark but he did encounter plenty of this surface when tried in France on the level. Kerasoun's form looks plating class at best. Orion Express is out of form and there's no certainty he'll act in these conditions either. Flying Grey is a likeable enough sort and he can gain yet another win for connections.
