In depth

Verdict

There's little strength in depth here and it's hard to get away from Think Lucky who is readily preferred to Archduke Ferdinand and Lansdowne Princess. The selection was beaten out of sight on debut for this yard in April but left that form behind when stepped up in trip at Huntingdon to run an in-form rival close in a handicap. This is less competitive and represents a decent opportunity. Archduke Ferdinand has had a few of those in his time and hasn't been the easiest to train. He's knocked on the door a few times and is no mug but it would take a braver man than I to back him to come home in front here. That said, it's hard to get excited about the chances of the remainder although we will cast an eye over Honduras and Brave Jewel. Lansdowne Princess has run the odd creditable race in her time but Think Lucky won't need any luck to win today.
