In depth

Verdict

The hat-trick seeking Peter The Mayo Man and NACHI FALLS both arrive in terrific form but we're loathe to desert Nigel Hawke's three-year-old as his latest win at Market Rasen is working out really well. Both second and third, Hygrove Percy and Cliffs Of Dover, have won handicaps since against older horses. Richard Johnson prefers Verni over course and distance winner Wolftrap so he shouldn't be dismissed out of hand while Arty Campbell has won twice on the Flat this year so shouldn't be long in losing his maiden tag over timber.
