In depth
Verdict
Little more than a match here between Marcel and Irish raider Found Gold and we will take the latter to notch up another win for Tony McCoy. Found Gold makes his British debut here and was back to form in style at Sligo last time out, with an easy eight length success from Dasher's Gift on ground not dissimilar to what he will encounter here. J P McManus and Christy Roche clearly feel they have found a good opportunity for a bit of extra prize money and he should be able to outstay them. Tony McCoy will have a very good idea as to the merits of Marcel, for he was on board Selvas when that runner was beaten by the French-bred runner at Stratford last time out. Martin Pipe's inmate handles plenty of cut but did not run well on his only attempt on good to soft in France, and so that plus his unproven stamina for this trip make him opposable, though he will probably still be good enough to finish in front of the other four. No of those make anything like the appeal of this pair, and we will stick with Found Gold to lift the prize.
