Verdict

Three useful early-season types line up against each other here and there doesn't look to be a great deal between them on the form book. John Ferguson has a tentative form line with Retro Valley and Doubly Clever through another well forward juvenile, Leoncavallo, and his charge MOUNTAINSIDE gets 4lb from the other two winners having only had one run so far - he looks the one to beat. La Voix will need a lot more if she's to trouble her rivals.
