In depth

George Nympton has ability but rarely runs two races alike. Easily Pleased is more consistent though is still 9lb higher than for his only success so far under Rules. The Nephew looked to be on the way back when third at Warwick but may need more of a stamina test. LUCKY SUNNY had a confidence-booster over hurdles here at the start of month and could be the one to beat today if allowed his own way out in front. The sharp track is definitely in his favour and he looks better treated than Jeanry and Delphi Mountain.

George Nympton (IRE) 8-1 (11-5) Led, not fluent 11th, headed 5 out, soon lost 2nd, lost 3rd well before next, weakened, 6th of 9, 44l behind Entertain Me (10-13) at Chepstow 2m 3f hcp chs 0-120 (4) gs.

Easily Pleased (IRE) 12-1 (11-2) Held up in rear, headway after 11th, went 3rd 4 out, stayed on same pace, no chance with winner, 3rd of 9, 17l behind Daymar Bay (10-11) at Exeter 2m 3f hcp chs 0-125 (3) gs in Mar.

The Nephew (IRE) 7-1 (11-9) Took keen hold, held up towards rear, headway on outside 12th, left in close 3rd next, went 2nd 3 out, one pace and no impression on winner when lost 2nd next, 3rd of 8, 6l behind Speed Master (11-12) at Warwick 2m 4f hcp chs 0-120 (4) gd in Mar.

Lucky Sunny (IRE) 4-1 (11-12) Took keen hold, chased leader, led 5th until ridden and headed well before 2 out, no chance with very easy winner, weakened to 3rd close home, 3rd of 7, 7l behind Mister Fantastic (10-0) at Newton Abbot 2m 1f hcp hdl 0-105 (4) sft.

Delphi Mountain (IRE) 16-1 (11-12) Prominent, challenged 3 out, ridden next, one pace and no impression before last, no extra flat, 5th of 12, 13l behind August Hill (11-7) at Wincanton 2m hcp hdl 0-105 (4) gd.
