In depth

Verdict

Kilbree Kid is an interesting recruit from the point-to-point arena for Tom George who doesn't run too many during the summer months and the market may act as the best guide to his chances since joining the Gloucestershire yard from Sean Aherne's Irish operation. Mr Trilby also landed an Irish point-to-point on good ground but has been beaten on both starts in ordinary bumper company since joining David Pipe. There may be more to come however whilst Twyford has claims on his useful penultimate run when runner-up to Church Field in a handicap at this venue. He does need to be forgiven a poor subsequent effort last time though. The choice is LADY LECTRA who showed plenty of promise in bumpers before finishing a respectable second on her hurdling debut here. She receives weight all round and hopefully will hurdle more fluently with that experience behind her.
