Verdict
Supreme Piper goes unpenalized for his win in a novices' hurdle at Fontwell last time and is preferred to Polar Scout and the Paul Nicholls-trained Kiwi Babe. The last mentioned has only raced three times and remains unexposed. She makes more appeal than either of the two Richard Phillips-trained runners Mithak and Central Committee, who both look to be on the downgrade. Of more interest may be Jimmy Frost's Grey Brother, provided that he does not "bounce" and Charlie Mann's recent course and distance winner Polar Scout, although a 6lb rise for that latest success leaves him with more to do. Susan Nock's Mister Felix, Robert Alner's Spaghetti Junction, Toby Balding's Audiostreetdotcom and the Philip Hobbs-trained Tresor Preziniere are others likely to be battling out the minor placings but for the winner we go for a stablemate of the last mentioned, Supreme Piper. The six-year-old has shown decent form in a handicap prior to his win here last time and is taken to follow up.
