Verdict
Martin Pipe has his string in good form at present and the Nicholashayne-based handler looks to have found a suitable opportunity for Figaro du Rocher to open his account, with Penric and The Local rated the main dangers. The selection has run some decent races in defeat and, with this looking to be his easiest task for some time, the son of Beyssac is taken to open his account in the UK. There is little to choose between the selection and Penric on running behind Manawanui at Exeter last time and the Clive Cox-trained gelding rates a bigger threat than The Local, who seems to be in the grip of the handicapper at present. Sigwells Club Boy is generally a consistent performer but disappointed at Exeter last time and may be best watched at present. Both Alasil and Brochrua need to step up on previous form to take a hand on their first starts in a handicap in a race that is taken to go to Figaro du Rocher.
