VICENTE will be another short-priced favourite in this. He fell when odds-on for his chasing bow at Fakenham but was in front at the time and his form over hurdles, which included a second in a Grade 2 in October, was head and shoulders above anything achieved by today's rivals. Veauce De Sivola went backwards after winning a Taunton handicap over timber in February of last year and was tailed off on his fencing debut while Alefou D'Airy has his first run for Jimmy Frost, though did win over hurdles at Pau in December for Jacques Ortet.
Alefou D'airy (FR) (11-0) won at Pau(FR) 2m 1f 4yo clm hdl hvy in Dec beating Silverado (10-10) by 13l, 11 ran.
Call Me Win (IRE) 66-1 (10-7) Not fluent 4th, always towards rear, tailed off, last of 9, well behind Ar Mad (11-0) at Plumpton 2m 5f nh nov hdl (4) gd.
Veauce De Sivola (FR) 9-1 (10-12) Held up 3rd and last throughout, mistake 5th, struggling 15th, soon lost touch, tailed off from 4 out, last of 3, 45l behind Leo Luna (11-10) at Fontwell 3m 2f nov chs (4) gd.
Vicente (FR) 7-1 (11-7) Rear division, pushed along 4 out, never dangerous, 13th of 16, 50l behind Bygones Sovereign (9-13) at Haydock 3m hcp hdl (2) sft in Feb.
