Verdict

CARRIGEEN KAMPALA is 2-5 for Fergal O'Brien and looked to score at Stratford with something to spare. Liam Harrison does the steering again and the gelding, who made a winning debut here in a bumper last July, is hard to oppose. Mairis Icon progressed from her hurdling debut when a staying-on third here this month when clearly unfancied as she was sent off at 150/1. She looks to be getting the hang of hurdling and is suggested as one of the better chances along with Ede'iffs Rock, about whom similar comments can be made on the back of an improved runner-up effort at Warwick last time. Scarlett Clipper, a son of Milan, is a debutant and stablemate of the selection and worthy of a market check.
